Julian Rodriguez

Choir Instructor 6th/7th/8th Grade

 

“Julian E Rodriguez is the Choir Director at Kirkpatrick Middle School in Fort Worth ISD. He graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in December of 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. While a student at Texas Wesleyan, he studied voice under Julie McCoy and Jerome Bierschenk. He was born in San Antonio but raised in Fort Worth having graduated from Western Hills High School in 2013. Mr. Rodriguez has been singing since he was 5 years old, having joined his church choir at 6. He went on to sing in the adult choir at 14, and then at 19 started as the assistant director under Debra Rue. He is very excited about the work that he is, and will be doing, with the students at Kirkpatrick Middle School!

Barry Yandell

Mr. Yandell is thrilled to launch the new Theatre Arts program at KMS!

Having taught Professional Communications, Theatre & Musical Theatre for 26 years, he also currently works as a professional actor of stage and screen. Most of his current work as a voice actor (DBZ, Black Butler, Fairytail, Soul Eater, SpyxFamily, Attack On Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist...) can be seen on The Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Hulu, Netflix, Crunchyroll, etc., as well as numerous video games, including Borderlands.

Awarded K-8 Educator of the Year by The Texas Educational Theatre Association, he enjoys being a presenter and guest artist at numerous conventions and Comic Cons around the world and has served as UIL One- Act Play adjudicator for over 25 years. He has an intense passion for sharing his love of the performing arts, and is honored to provide a new elective option for KMS students as they seek the perfect place to belong.
